He was a resident, but he never attained citizenship. I urge you to edit it. I can't do it, since it would be NPOV, I think, since I am living in CR. Thanks.--Kim Kusanagi 08:46, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added citation needed tags, and if no one cites that he was a citizen of Coasta Rica or any of his legal offenses (especially the rape allegation), I will come back and remove them (before July 10).Taboo Tongue 04:24, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the above claims, and added a Citation Needed tag to his Arrest on September 3rd. --Taboo Tongue 16:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing of line 48

[edit]

Why was this removed? it seemed to add reasonably notable info on a special event. I suggest we add it back if a reason is not provided within the month. --Taboo Tongue 16:53, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Trinidad Vs. Mayorga.png

[edit]

Image:Trinidad Vs. Mayorga.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Shine Fights controversy?

[edit]

I think a controversy section should be added to Ricardo Mayorga's wikipedia entry. Contributing editors of MMAJunkie, Sherdog.com, Bloodyelbow.com, and various others have been accusing Mayorga of NEVER INTENDING to fight for the Shine Fights promotion. Their sources revolve mainly around Devin Price, his relationship with Don King Enterprises, and the accusation is that considering that:

- Mayorga has had no MMA training - Mayorga has had numerous occasions where he does not show up to an event; demands additional money to show up for a fight he has already signed; refuses to fight regardless of pay - Mayorga's average 'show' payout (he only has to show up to collect) is on average 400,000$ and Shine Fights was paying him in the tens of thousands - Devin Price did not intend to have the show money available for the North Carolina state atheletic commission, nor did he - Devin Price and Don King Promotions have been communicating on a regular basis since Janurary - Ricardo Mayorga has filed a suit with DKP and dropped it within the month with no explanation given

It has gotten to the point where Ricardo Mayorga is getting to be as well known for his OUTSIDE the ring antics almost more than his INSIDE the ring performance, it behooves the general public to know. Striking Din Thomas in the face at a press conference for a fight promotion that had little to no intention of actually hosting the event is in and of itself 'notable'.
